I grew up with anime but it wasn't
until recently that I started collecting anime more seriously. Video games and
computer games are also a part of my interest. Having plowed through 30 odd series
recently I find myself preferring the old-schooled animes more simply for contents
sake. Flashy and colourful animations are nice but they don't create memorable
moments that you might not forget all your life. I only watch Japanese cartoons
and hardly ever give Western made ones a go but I grew up with Japanese animations
so I guess I am too used to it to try anything else. It's a pity that a handful
of the decent shows I've seen recently didn't have a proper ending, it seemed
producers left a cliff hanger so a 2nd season can be produced if it seems profitable
but more than often the 2nd season ends up as vaporware. Just as I have used other
people's review to help in my anime purchase, I'd like to contribute back as well
and hopefully some people can benefit from my opinions too.
