I've been an off-and-on fan of anime
for a little over 8 years but never really got into it until the last 2 years
or so. The first show that really sparked my interest in anime was Black Magic
M-66, which reminded me of the G.I. Joe cartoons I watched as a kid only exponentially
cooler (and with nudity!). Nowadays, I blame weasl for my current addiction, which
at its height consumes all my off-work time as I try in vain to keep up with him.
I enjoy various genres, from action to romance, silly to serious, innocent to
corrupt, etc. Beyond pure entertainment, anime also represents to me a rare glimpse
into a foreign land through their pop culture, which is probably as accurate a
representation as US pop culture is for real US culture, but oh well, heh. I generally
loathe English language dubs, though I still haven't learned Japanese (yea, I
know...). As of the writing of this bio, I'm 24 and I make PC games for a living.
