Let's see...I'm currently a student
in Computer Science and Japanese at the University of New Mexico, in the city
in the middle of nowhere, Albuquerque. (New Mexico is part of the United States,
not Mexico...) I'm in my third year of Japanese, and as such I watch lots of unsubtitled
anime and am an avid Japanese manga collector.
In
my free time I try to get some translations and editing done for the fan subtitling
groups I work for, play a few strategy games or console RPGs, read fantasy novels
and manga, waste time idling on IRC, play Dance Dance Revolution or maybe watch
some anime. I'm a part of Anime-Fansubs
and Hikari no Kiseki, and I really enjoy making it so others can enjoy new or
obscure anime shows.
My tastes in anime are a little
eccentric for a male American anime fan, being inclined to watch lots of shoujo
anime and especially read lots of shoujo manga. However, I also enjoy shows with
lots of cute girls in them as long as they're not as horrible as Tenshi no Shippo.
I'm a sucker for good art, and art styles that I like are the easiest way I get
into new series. ^^
My favorite RPG ever is Final
Fantasy IV, and I'm a big fan of Suikoden, Lunar, SaGa Frontier, and lots of other
stuff. Least favorite game would have to be Vandal Hearts II (long story).
