As a prospective creative writing major at Eckerd College in Florida , I like anime primarily because it tells a story. I love character development, intriguing plot devices, and especially setting and atmosphere more than I do action. That being said, I really like the variety of visuals and stories different anime provide. I think, like music, there is a time and a mood to suit almost anything. Whether it is a commitment of time and emotion and sanity with Evangelion, or a quick and guilty dose of blood and horror with Curse of the Undead: Yoma, I like both ends of the spectrum.
