Let's see. First off my profession
of choice is game design. So far I've worked on Anachronox and Daikatana, and
I'm currently employed by Ritual
Entertainment working on a secret project. I'm also stuck in the black hole
that is Dallas, TX.
When I'm not slaving over my
keyboard at work, I enjoy consuming mass quantities of anime, playing console
RPG games, collecting anime DVDs, reading epic fantasy novels, and collecting
naughty doujinshi.
Due to my mass consumption of
anime I get to look at lots of titles and enjoy a wide range of genres. In particular
I enjoy action anime, comedy/romance anime, and I'm always up for a little bit
of fanservice in my anime. I watch anime for entertainment, and thus draw on a
wide range of factors to determine what is good and what is bad. Characters, animation,
story, and music all play in, but if I had to pick a most important factor it
would have to be characters. Cool characters can make a mediocre anime a lot of
fun, but even the best story can be brought down if you don't care about the characters.
My favorite character designers are Keiji Gotoh (Nadesico,
Sorcerer Hunters, Those Who
Hunt Elves, Gate Keepers), Satoshi
Urushihara (Plastic Little,
Legend of Lemnear) and Masami Obari (Fatal Fury, Voltage
Fighters Gowcaizer, Virus).
On the gaming side
I like to play FPS (favorite is Quake) console RPGs (favorites are Xenogears,
Final Fantasy X, and the Suikoden series) fighting games (current favorite is
Guilty Gear X) and most action games.
I also run
a web page up at http://www.weasl.net
where I store all anime and game wallpapers.
