4. Hybrid

The god of crack returns with another anime about making an anime air on time. Right from the opening sequence, Daichi's trademarks of fast speaking characters, energetic background music, and the won key art style the he is famous for, can be easily seen and makes the show enjoyable. With the OVA running at a run time of 30 minutes, the pace of the OVA is fast and furious, and it mangers to end quite nicely. I would recommend this OVA to those how have enjoyed Daichi's previous comedy works (Kodomo no Omocha, Elf Princess Rane, Jubei-Chan, Kazemakase Tsukikage Ran and Fruits Basket).

3. The Boss

Animation Runner Kuromi is about the life of making an anime show and most importantly airing it on time. This is easier said then done as Kuromi discovers when she surprisingly becomes production manager as soon as she nears the door to her new workplace. Considering its a 30min long OVA they did a fine job developing the characters. If you liked Jubei-Chan´s funny art style I highly recommend you seeing this anime.

2. Tempy

Animation Runner Kuromi-Chan is a short, but enjoyable show. Kuromi starts work at an animation studio and promptly becomes production manager, where she has just one week to make sure all the key animation scenes are finished, before shipped off for inbetweening overseas (presumably South Korea, although it isn't mentioned). The show looks good, and some fast scenes are well animated. Art-wise it looks like Kodomo no Omocha, and some bits remind me of Jubei-Chan (not strange, considering the director also did those 2 shows, as well as Here and There Now and Then, Kazemakase Tsukikage Ran and Elf Princess Rane). I appreciate the good production quality and enjoyed the humor in the show, too bad it's so short.

From the god of anime wackiness Daichi (Kodomo no Omocha, Elf Princess Rane, Jubei-chan the Ninja Girl) comes a more sedated anime. Having just landed her dream job at an animation studio, Kuromi just has one problem. The episode she's just been put in charge of is due soon, and is WAY behind schedule. Mix in having to deal with a pack of crazy artists and Kuromi is in for some trouble. Clocking in at a single 30 minute OVA episode it isn't given much room to breath, but does manage to nicely wrap it's self up. A fun title with a bit of insight into the production of anime, Animation Runner Kuromi-chan is worth the 30 minutes.
