Buttobi CPU is an amusing 3 episode OVA, that does what it does well. It's nothing groundbreaking, and doesn't try to be. It's just a plain old funny with it's naughty storyline, without being too graphic. It's not Hentai, but it's still not for the kiddies. If you're looking for something short, and funny...Buttobi CPU, is well worth the watch.

This is a naughty, funny almost Hentai series. In this the lead male, Akira, buys a new personal computer, which turns out to be a humanoid robot in the form of a cute girl (can anyone say Chobits?). The girl, Mimi, requires his 'active molecules' (*cough*semen) for most functions. So now he has a sex-starved PC!. I can't imagine anyone building a computer system like this, but this is a great anime. The program is fun to watch and the Macintoshes (oops Nacintoshes) that appear with icons looking like a certain fruit, are just great.

I ended up liking this show more than I thought I would going into it , which is always a nice treat, like getting something for nothing. The story is not very deep, and has been done before a few times , not just in the anime world. Still , I can't say I'm let down by it. It's about a somewhat nerdy young man who end up as the new owner of a bio-type computer, but you would never tell it was that by it's looks. In order to follow the formula , the "PC" has to be the hot, young girl Mimi of course. Hilarity ensues as Mimi and her new master spend 3 episodes feeling each other out as he tries to balance this new relationship with his existing personal life. The show gets a bit ecchi when it's time for Mimi's "memory upgrades" , which she needs to operate, but it never really crosses any lines into adult territory. There's nothing here nudity wise that you wouldn't see in the original Vampire Hunter D or say , American Pie. I suggest it to anyone who liked the movie Weird Science or if you are looking for a slightly more naughty (and shorter) version of Chobits. Other than that, it is pretty cheesy, but I was able to take it at face value so it turned out to not be a let down, but actually better than I had hoped for.

Buttobi CPU is surprisingly cute. Akira buys a new computer from some bum and finds out it isn't the model he was looking for. Instead it's a bio-computer, in attractive female shape, which he names Mimi. Mimi needs constant memory upgrades by having Akira upload his "active molecules". Akira is sorta hesitant, uncomfortable and embarrassed at the same time, but gladly inserts his "installer" into Mimi's front "slot". If this sounds like a hentai, well, it almost is. Pink Pineapple is known for their hentai titles, which aren't very hardcore. Buttobi CPU is difficult to categorize. There's frontal nudity and lots of suggested sex and naughtiness, but no male/female genitalia or bodily fluids is shown. Therefore I can't really call it hentai. The art is well done, the animation is good, Mimi is especially cute, and I have a soft spot for Performa's hairstyle :-) It's sweet, it's funny, it's naughty, go watch it!
