1. Marshal of Manga

An anime from Hong Kong, this is a sweet romance between a tax collector and a ghost, set in China (the title tells all doesn't it?).

The movie tracks the antics and maturing of the lovebirds-to-be, with a strong undertone of 'image isn't everything.'

This movie is great in that it alludes to horrific and mature ideas, while maintaining a frontage of childish innocence and adventurousness. What might appear to be a hectic mix of songs, lovey-doveyness, oriental ghostbusters, and re-incarnation trains is in fact a great adventure to behold!

The ending theme is nice to hear, more so if you can understand Cantonese.

A nice viewing for the whole family, the movie speaks louder than its childish façade.
