To me, Demon City Shinjuku is like the wussy, tame version
of Wicked City. There is no reason to watch Shinjuku over Wicked
City unless you just plain don't want the sex and violence. Shinjuku's
story is similar to WC, but much less thought out and interesting. I thought
it looked pretty stupid from the start, but it actually wasn't as bad as I thought
it would be. Worth watching, perhaps, but for the same thing, only better, Wicked
City is what you want. |

Demons invade Japan, hero must save the world from more demons
being summoned. Demon City Shinjuku starts out nice enough and has pretty
nice art. Unfortunately it lacks a nice eerie atmosphere, it isn't scary, barely
any gore, the battles are unexciting, and the characters are pretty uninvolving.
Wicked City does the horror thing so much better. |
