In order to figure out which battle suit is the best, the Galaxy Union Police devise a test where dangerous space criminals are unleashed on Earth. Hapless student Suzuo Sakurazaki is approached by a little girl named Tanpopo from Otankonasu toy company to try out their suit - which turns Suzuo into Dokkoida! A bit reluctant at first to fight, Suzuo likes to get carried away as Dokkoida, and competes with Nerloidgirl from Emerald company to see who's more efficient in rounding up Maronflower and his mechanical constructions, Edelweiss and her clay golems, and Hyacinth the dominatrix and her transforming slave. Of course all of them end up living at House Cosmos, unaware of each other's hidden identity.
The show relies a lot on making fun out of the usual superhero cliches, and all of the characters are quirky enough to pull it off. While being cheered on by Tanpopo, Dokkoida never manages to capture any of the villains, which isn't that serious since the villains never manage to do much damage anyway. The funniest situations arise when the characters are posing as normal human beings and interacting with each other. The show also throws in some light drama from time to time when it goes a bit more in depth into each character - who they are, their past, and why they're here.
Production-wise everything is rock-solid. Dokkoida is consistently funny and exudes a vibrant energy that makes it a very satisfying viewing experience.
