2. Tyrenol

A gang of techno-thugs which include two android cat-girls. A special police force which utilize tanks. A back-story about air-cleaning science gone totally wrong. And one high-strung mayor who's in need of her prozac. This is all from the creator of Ghost In The Shell and Appleseed. At any rate, you'd still need to run as far away as you can. Because Dominion Tank Police is filled with enough cyberpunk action and plot twists (for its time) to keep you busy. Recommended.

1. Tempy

Dominion Tank Police is a relatively old anime series based on Masamune Shirow's popular manga books. Not having read the manga I'm not sure how much resemblance it shares with the anime show, but I'll try to judge the show on its own merits. The designs are of Shirow-goodness, and the art and animation are decent even today. It's a rather lighthearted show with some silly moments and plenty of action. Stuff gets broken and blown up, usually by the Tank Police themselves and not the criminals. It's not very deep even though the 4th episode does enter the area of the sci-fi equivalent of existentialism somewhat. Ghost in the Shell does this better, but Dominion Tank Police is still worth looking at if you want to have some fun. The Puma twins are fun, but I still like redheaded Leona better for her cheery charm.
