I was very surprised at how much I liked this series, considering
I had never heard of it when I bought it. I really liked the music, especially
in the OP. The main character, Techno, is a loner who was kept locked up in a
bunker with no friends for most of his life, and when he gets out is not very
well prepared for the real world. His bizarre love for the young girl he calls
"Daisy" is the central plot for this show. In a very odd way, the show
is very romantic. Daisy is pretty plain and nothing special, really, but through
Techno I gradually grew to like her as the show went on. Don't Leave Me Alone
Daisy also can boast one of the coolest supporting characters, Yamakawa X.
It's truly worth seeing just to see this poor young man's life.
Don't Leave Me Alone Daisy took me by surprise. I really
wasn't sure what to expect when I picked it up, but what I got was so offbeat
and strange that I couldn't help but be surprised. This is a very bizarre love
story, and I can see how it's strangeness can turn some people off. Techno (the
main character) has some serious issues, primarily that he has no outside experience
dealing with people in a real world setting and thus his romantic advances can
be fairly strange, and at times pretty disturbing. I found myself enjoying the
show a great deal though. The comedy was so outlandish that I was constantly being
surprised, and the romantic angle is well handled, though bizarre. A one of a
kind title that's worth checking out.
