The Fatal Fury movie is one of my guilty pleasures.
The story has very little to do with the video game other than the lead characters,
though it does provide us with a bunch of guest appearances from the supporting
cast of the Fatal Fury games. The animation is fluid, and the fight scenes are
well done. One nitpick is a couple of scenes where they used another studio to
complete the animation. The differences in art styles rubbed me the wrong way.
The main factor of enjoyment in the movie is Mai. Director Masami Obari is the
master of fanservice and he puts Mai to good use. A tad fluffy, I enjoy this one
everytime I see it.
