Arslan is a young prince who hates war a lot, but he is forced
through it. Together with his trustworthy assistants, he is working in getting
back his looted throne. Sounds mediocre, ne? The show has some Persian theme to
it with various nations fighting each other over power and land. The series had
not done well commercially and thus the latter episodes did not make it, too bad
because it certainly have potential. Speaking of the latter episode, the art style
has changed dramatically. In a way it is a good thing but for some characters,
I like the first designs better.
Bottom line, if
you have any liking to history series with some real stuff and null exaggerations,
Arslan may suit you. Otherwise pass, especially if bishounen characters
offend you.
