Initial D hits the big screen with a bang. The car animation
is fantastic but the character design although improved (in my opinion) is still
lackluster. After the lessons and improvements in the second stage Takumi faces
the son of a rival racer from Bunta's past. Takumi is torn in what do with his
life as the last year of school is coming to a quick end and how education/racing/Mogi
fits into his life and future. The music and animation blend in for an amazing
opening and it shows how much improvement is being made with the series. The ending
(to the series? Even though there is a 4th stage manga) is a let down and pretty
much ticked me off as the underlying fault with Initial D... they cannot
make love relationships work...BAKAS!
