This has become one of my all time favorite anime. Hale is living a normal life as a kid in the jungle with his mom, Weda, until one day, a mysterious girl named Guu appears. The chemistry between Guu and ALL the other characters, especially Hale, is hilarious. There are many characters, and this anime does exceptionally well in giving each character a unique personality. There's even two characters, one boy and one girl, that are in nearly every episode, yet they don't say a single word.

Also, many anime series attempt at making a "mascot character," such as Pikachu for Pokemon, but few are as successful as Ein from Cowboy Bebop or Pen Pen from Evangelion. Jungle introduces the Pokutes, which are mysterious jungle creatures that somewhat resembles a rabbit. Because of the Pokutes' odd appearances and their random behavior, they are nice complements to Jungle. Every single episode is filled with such random comments, gestures, and events, yet everything seems so intricately planned. Even the somewhat serious scenes are funny. This series could go on forever, and it does lack a sufficient conclusion, but it is not necessarily required.
