One of my favorite underrated shows, Kishin Corps takes
place in during an alternate WWII, where Nazis allied with aliens, and there's
a multi-national group that pilots giant robots that can fight the aliens. Well,
it may sound cheesy, but one of the things that sets this show apart are that
all of the pilots save one are actually adults. That said, there are some sci-fi
cliches in here, such as the son of one of the leading technologists ends up becoming
one of the pilots... but this show does a neat job of showing the story from all
the human sides, with people betraying each other and switching sides, plus lots
of development off the battlefield as well as on. I'd urge you to at least try
to rent this, you may be pleasantly surprised.
