You can't put a value on style, on something which no matter
how well worded you are you just have to say "That's cool" near the
entire Lupin series of movies holds this value, but something which may
amaze a lot of people, as I know it did me, was that Castle of Cagliostro
was not necessarily the best of the Lupin movies, this movie in particular has
better car chase scenes, something which came as a particular surprise, of course
Castle of Cagliostro probably had the highest level of combined proficiency,
but usually each other of the Lupin movies has a couple aspects which is
better in comparison to it. Unfortunately one of the biggest problems with Lupin
movies is that the animation style and quality varies from one movie to another,
this movie thankfully had a comfortable style which wasn't radical or uncomfortable
on the eyes, and the animation itself was of very decent quality. The voice characterisations
were familiar, but as I'm not too well versed on the Lupin movies I'm not
sure if they try and use the same cast for all the movies or not, so I don't know
if this is of any real importance or not. I won't bother explaining the storyline
of it, just that as usually Lupin is off searching for treasure with Jigen in
his funky little car being chased by Zenigata, Fujiko involving herself by trying
to slyly get the treasure before Lupin and of course Goemon who always gets involved
somehow, it's all simply enjoyable fun stylish anime, curiously though, anyone
else notice the similarities between Lupin and Spike?
