The footage created for Flashback 2012 was intended
to be the ending of the Macross Do You Remember Love Movie but was not
finished in time of the movies' release, so it was expanded and released as a
thirty minute OVA sometime after DYRL.

features new and old footage set to various Minmay songs with very little dialog.
Sound like a music video? Well that's basically what this is. There is something
of a story however involving Minmay and her last concert in Macross City, as well
as the completed construction of a colonial star ship called SDF-2 Megaroad-01
that Hayase Misa has been made captain of, I had no understanding of these events
in terms of the Macross Timeline, but still I enjoyed this. Personally I've come
to appreciate Iijima Mari's (Lynn Minmay) vocals and many of her songs which contribute
considerably to my enjoyment of this title. Regardless it is nice to see the classic
characters one last time and see how they have matured.
