First off I've been a fan of Darkstalkers since Capcom
released the first way back in.. I can't remember when, but it was a long time
ago. The story in the anime is ripped straight from the games. An unstoppable
god-like force descends upon the world where demons/ humans live, as well as creatures
called Darkstalkers (basically part human part monster). Different Darkstalkers
and demons arise to fight off the threat, blah blah blah. The back story is tossable,
but what is good (at least for fans of the game) are the characters, their stories,
and how they interact. The animation is a bit better then most OVAs, and the fight
scenes where pulled of extremely well with most of the characters using lots of
trademark moves. Fans of Darkstalkers will enjoy this one, though without
the game's frame of reference enjoyment factor will probably be lower.
