Phantom Quest Corp is yet another short OVA series which
never evolved into a full fledged TV show. The Phantom Quest Corp is led by sexy
Ayaka Kisaragi and specializes in handling supernatural phenomena with the aid
of detective Karino. The characters are fun, especially karaoke-loving Ayaka and
the laid-back Karino. Ayaka also provides the show with some welcome fanservice.
The designs are nice and the animation is well done, but the show itself isn't
very special, though it does feature a couple of nice but short action sequences.
Most of the time it feels oddly paced, with scenes lingering on longer than they
should. Maybe it's because the music fails to tie the scenes together, or maybe
it's just the editing. Whatever it is, PQC feels like an average title,
despite amusing characters.
