Satoshi Urushihara girls animated, by Urushihara himself! His girls are wonderfully drawn, and I always refer to Plastic Little as "Plastic Nipple" because of Urushihara's unique way of drawing the female anatomy :-) Ah, but what about the rest of the show? Well, sadly the basic story is unoriginal bog-standard sci-fi fare, the plot is Swiss cheese and the direction is lousy. Trying to fit too much into just 45 minutes of animation is just asking for trouble. Tita the main character of the show is cute in a tomboyish way, and the other cast members seem interesting as well, but there's just isn't any time for any development at all. If Urushihara would just lend out his talents for something more substantial...

First off it should be noted that I love Satoshi Urushihara's art style. His skill at drawing cute anime girls is unequaled. Plastic Little is fanservice central, with top notch animation to boot. Past the fanservice aspect of Plastic Little there is very little here. The animation is as I mentioned top notch, but the story is pretty standard. Thankfully Plastic Little manages to wrap its story up nicely in the 60 minutes though, and thus doesn't leave you with an empty unfinished feeling that seems to be common in a lot of short OVA series. If your a fanservice junky like me you owe it to yourself to watch this one.
