Look what I dug up. A Ranma movie.
Not
much story here. It's like the first movie "Big Trouble in Nekonron China",
except that it's in a different place. Add a Happosai-Friendly environment and
you have "Nihao my Concubine". Like the first movie, it's another
"we gotta save Akane" romp.
The fanservice
and Kuno's poetry spouting mouth are the only good parts in this movie. Also,
it's a good chance to see the characters in even more skimpier clothing than before.
If you're a late anime bloomer who just became a Ranma 1/2 fan, then between
the two movies, choose this one. If you're just curious, then forget it.
I'm
going to rate this movie as how I rated this 10 years ago. Obviously, my above
review reflects how I feel about this movie after such a long time. Therefore,
I'll give it a 3. However, it is unfair because so much time has passed since
it's conception so I'll give it a 4.0 in accordance to fairness in time.
If
they ever want to make another Ranma1/2 movie with the same plot, then
they deserve to get shot.
