The Sailor Moon R movie involves one of Mamoru's childhood
friends, Fiore, who had left Earth in order to find the most beautiful flower
in the universe to give to Mamoru. Unfortunately, the flower he finds is like
most women: beautiful but dangerous! The Kisenian flower convinces Fiore to help
take over the Earth and destroy the sailor senshi because Fiore is jealous of
Mamoru's relationship with Usagi and the gang. Really, if you're only going to
watch one part of Sailor Moon, I think this should be it. The "Moon
Revenge" sequence of the show near the end is perhaps the best of all Sailor
Moon scenes ever written. The only seriously lacking part to the R movie is
that it doesn't have any of my favorite Sailor Moon characters in it because
they aren't introduced until the S season.
