12 girls, 12 stories. That's how Sentimental Journey,
an anime based on the popular love dating sim Sentimental Graffiti, begins.
This one successfully got past the problem of being based on a dating sim: lack
of main male character presence. It instead focuses on the stories of the girls,
their personalities, their dreams and their encounter with that male character
at one point in time. Every episodes stands by its own with no interference with
other episodes or whatsoever. The screenplay is really cool, making the stories
always great and lovable. Animation-wise, the style is solid, but not so flashy
or vibrant. The quality is okay, not so great and not bad. Overall, this is one
lovely and peaceful show that is recommended to check if you have any liking for
love anime like To Heart and others.
