After failing the high school entrance exam, Wataru gets sent
off to a mysterious place named Promised Island, and meets the 13 sisters he never
knew he had. They're all cute and unique in their own way, and they always want
to hang around with Wataru. The show is rather leisurely paced as we follow the
lives of Wataru and his sisters. Any conflicts are light and not very dramatic,
situations are simplistic, and the characters themselves aren't very deep or involving,
in fact, they're downright shallow and simplistic. It's all about the sisters
trying to please Wataru and getting his attention. It's very cute and sweet, but it does get a bit tiring, since the show doesn't try to do much more than that. While
the original character designs are quite scrumptious, the anime itself has rather average
production values at times. Despite all this, Sister Princess is quite a relaxing
and enjoyable viewing experience with some odd situations causing Wataru to exclaim
"Sonna bakana!" quite often, and the very cute and lovable sisters.
These elements make me forgive the weaker parts, but others might not be as forgiving. Based on a dating sim game.
