In their endless quest for food and adventure Lina and Naga stumbles upon the little town of Stoner, famous for its golems. They encounter the Einburg family - Father Galia, famous but lately unable to find inspiration to make anything; son Huey who likes to make big breasted golems, whose craftsmanship is ridiculed by his father; and Laia, the unfortunate daughter who has to support her quarrelling kin. Galia wants to use Lina as a model, while Huey has his eyes set on Naga. Granion and Haizen both vie for control over the town and they organize a battle between golems to decide dominance. Naturally they employ the services of the Einburgs and what follows is a battle between two stubborn men and their golems - with Lina and Naga inside!
The golem battle takes advantage of the constant fighting between Lina and Naga to provide some humorous scenes. Especially considering one of the golems is a super deformed version of Lina, much to her annoyance. This is a decent Slayers offering - Slayers fan will find much of the same to enjoy, while those negative to the whole franchise won't find anything new to win them over. The movie does feel a tad lengthy due to a different pacing from the tv series and ova episodes, even though it's only slightly less than an hour long. It's also a bit disappointing that although Laia seemed like an important character at first, she eventually disappears into the background in favor of her father and brother.
