Spiral is a creative and original piece of work. This 25-episode show revolves around mysteries and detective matters. Although it starts as a simple "Mystery of the week" show, there is actually a plot that takes form and a good one at that. Unfortunately, the good premise is badly executed and looses track. Mainly, the problem here is that the show asks a lot of questions but leaves almost all of them unexplained which is rather frustrating and the mysteries and tricks become repetitive and not that logical.

The animation is pretty good, with vivid colors and nice drawing. Here is a show that could have been so much more but unfortunately doesn't live up to its full potential.
