Based on Konami's mega-popular love dating sim, the anime adoption
of the game came 5 years after the game's first debut. Visually, this anime is
truly beautifully done with superb animation and vivid colors. One note here is
that the characters are so well done with lots of details in, they begun to lose
their cuteness factor towards a more realism approach. The big fault the producers
has fell in is how they handle the story, being based on a dating game would means
that 90% of the times there would be no male hero existence. The producers have
decided to tell the story from the standpoint of one girl, which would mean not
getting the other 11 girls their justice. It's also confusing when the male person
she deals with has no voice and his face is never shown. The concepts of the story
aren't in a way bad, but handling of the story in such a way will turn away people
instead of turning them in. The first episode left something to be desired even
for the fans like me and sadly, when the 2nd episode came out, it adds more disappointments
than expectations. Sometimes I wish that this anime was handled in the same way
Sentimental Journey was handled. Clearly, this one is for the fans of the
series only.
