This is a 26 episode series, and with 26 episodes, you figure
that there will be good character development and a strong and engaging plot.
However, this series was very mediocre. I almost stopped watching the series halfway.
I was actually fairly disappointed because the story had a lot of potential. It's
about a teenage kid, Rumina, and his quest to save a girl, Ruri, from an organization
called Company, that rules a society that thrives underneath Tokyo. There are
several characters with elemental powers. For example, Rumina has the power of
wind. Anyway, there are many colorful characters, and this series desperately
tries to give each character an interesting background, but fails to do so adequately.
I never really attached myself to any of the characters, and the attempts at drama
were somewhat lacking. The only thing that kept my attention was the sporadic
scenes of comic relief. This series also reminds me a bit of Sailor Moon
as all the elemental users tend to shout out their respective attacks, somewhat
like a video game. Finally, the last episode doesn't offer that feeling of conclusiveness.
