The more I think about this anime, the more worthless it gets.
Before I started writing this review, I said to myself - "Pia Carrot
has pretty girls. Pretty girls. Many pretty girls." Well that didn't help
much. I will now tell you why this title is too pathetic to forgive.
The
title Pia Carrot will never make a good anime transition from a popular
H-game, unlike To Heart, which is now more widely known for its anime.
And the fact that it is the DX version totally distinguishes the remaining values
of this anime. Pia Carrot 2 DX focuses on the newcomer Koji and pretty
girl #1 Asuza. The romance in this 6 episode series is a total rip-off of Love
Hina. But please do not let that encourage you, because unlike LH,
PC2dx is neither funny nor clever. The originality of this show is 0. Of
course you have all the girls walking around with maid costumes and bikinis but
other than that you get nothing. The humor supposedly added in this "DX"
version did more harm than good. In this 6 episode package, you will get the promised
beach episode, get lost in wood episode, the "oh my gosh he cheated on me"
episode, and the make up and make out episode. But for fans who have familiarized
themselves with the romance genre, this series will offer nothing new that will
distinguish it from other titles. The character development in this series is
pure garbage like an American soap opera. What I really don't understand is that
when you just have a 6 episode series, why waste time attempting to develop pretty
girl #2 3 and 4 if you already have your hands full with just Koji and Asuza?
The music sucked and the art is just so-so. I suggest you either watch the none-DX
version and get what the series REALLY focuses on, or just watch Love Hina
Again, which I think you will get more out of the 3 episodes.
Why
I have it: Didn't know what DX meant lol
High: Pia Carrot girls.
Asuza is a red head.
Low: Not really romantic (although it is supposed
to be). Crappy music. Character development sucked.
Final Words: People
new to this genre can give it a try. Plot simply too old for seasoned romance
anime fans.
