A strange wind blew and made people lose all their memories, not only who they are or where they belong but even basic skills like how to drive a car, eat nicely or even speak! In short, they become like animals, fighting for food and killing each other for power... One boy, some very strange how, was not affected by this and, aided by the well-and-speaking woman he's found, they search for the cause and solution for this 'tragedy.' Everything here is lacking... I mean the animation, the music and the pacing.. the idea in itself is not interesting to me. This an old one so I won't demand much but still, AVOID.

Everyone on Earth has lost their memories and reverted to savages, but Wataru has been given back rational thought and speech and journeys across America without purpose. In the end the aliens who caused this stand in judgment of humanity and decide whether to put things back as they were or not. But we are left wondering not at what decision they will make, but at what right they even have to judge us and make such a decision. The aliens are given no motivation and no description, and the idea of some godlike judgment coming in alien form is unsatisfying as an ending.

When I read the cover "from the director of Ninja Scroll" my first reaction was fear. I never really liked Ninja Scroll (Read my review for the reasons). The whole story setup is that everyone on earth has lost their memory in a silent wind. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about my experience with this movie as I'm left at the end wishing more was done with the story but sadly lost all interest after 20 mins of this movie. I gave it a fair shake again recently but still feel the DVD is a pass. (No notable extras to make me even suggest it for a buy).
