The movie began with both Miuyki and Natsumi returning from
their one-year training (in different places) to the Traffic Control Department
of Bokuto Police Station. Just before they arrive things got to warm up a little.
First Aoi and Yoriko found arms in a forsaken stolen car and then... someone hacked
the traffic system causing chaos in the road. Later it was found that the guns
in the car's back case were a part of a gun smuggling operation. An operation
that links to many things and makes big trouble for the police... What is this
so-called Bee no.1 plan? What assault plan everybody was talking about, and who's
this disappearing Detective with the name of Emoto... what does he have to do
with the chief?
Graphically, and like most anime
goin' movies, the art direction is a bit more serious than the OVA and TV series.
Not to say it's bad but, in fact, it's so beautiful. For example, I really liked
how they portrayed the falling snow in one scene... It was one of the best snow
falling scenes I have ever seen. I, however, think that they have done a little
bit more in still frames scenes which were lovely but not always demanded. Overall,
this movie was done very well and it really shows you Tokyo and Japan more accurately
than most anime do. Everything here was balanced out nicely from the action sequences
to the dialogue and the trademark comedy of the series. I really recommend watching
this movie with the family as there is no real killing here.
I
heard that AnimEigo (or whatever US company) is planning a theatrical release
for it somewhere in the future. So guys in USA... don't miss it.
