Yumeria is about a dream world, named Moera, which was created by people's evil thoughts.  These evil thoughts have culminated into an evil being, named Faydoom, which roams Moera until it is strong enough to enter the real world and destroy it.  However, there exists a man (a high school student named Tomokazu Mikuri) possessing a power which "charges" five fighters (girls that he knows), who stands in Faydoom's way.  In order to charge them, Tomokazu must touch them physically.  A plot that has potential, both in terms of action, depth, and comedy, falls short of reaching any of those goals.

Here is another fine example of the hackneyed genre of a guy surrounded by a bunch of cute girls.  The characters in this series resemble all the other anime that have done this genre, such as Ai Yori Aoshi, Love Hina, and Tenchi Muyo, to name a few.  There's the shy one, the obnoxious one, the ditzy one, the one that acts composed, etc.  The only main difference is the lead character, Tomokazu, who is quite a pervert.  I know in many other "guy surrounded by girls" anime that the guy is also somewhat of a pervert, but this particular anime makes it clear that the main guy is a full-blown pervert, which adds to the entertainment value of this mediocre series.  The "ecchi" factor in this anime was basically the only amusing aspect of Yumeria.  Most of the characters are uninteresting, in fact somewhat boring.  Though, one character is of particular annoyance.  The only thing she can say is the word "mone", which has no apparent significance at all.  However, all the other characters in this anime seem to understand her, except for Tomokazu.  Also, the bad guys look really retarded (for lack of better words...but it seems appropriate in this instance).

By the way, there is also a video game called Yumeria, with basically the same characters, but a slightly different storyline.  Besides, it's a dating simulation.
