 | Abenobashi
Mahou Shoutengai (Abenobashi Magical Shopping District) Gainax
strikes again. Arumi and Sasshi are two kids living in Abenobashi. Arumi's family's
restaurant will be closing doors soon, being the last store associated with the
Four Gods (Suzaku, Seiryuu, Genbu, Byakko) to disappear. When the porcelain pelican
shop sign breaks however, all hell break loose as Arumi and Sasshi find themselves
in a magically transformed world with dragons, castles, and an assortment of nutcases! |
 | Pita-Ten Based
on the manga by Koge Donbo (who did the original character designs for DiGi Charat
and Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar), Pita-Ten has Misha, a rather cute but clumsy angel,
suddenly appear into young Kotaro's life. Learning about the loss of his mother
at an early age, Misha vows to take care of Kotaro, though she ends up being more
of a nuisance at first. Things get a bit more complicated when demon Shia (who's
shy and also terribly cute) shows up. This is ultra-kawaii stuff, folks. |
 | Chobits It's
the future and computers have evolved into Perso-cons resembling humans and featuring
advanced AI. Hideki Motosuwa moves from the farm to the big city and finds a Perso-con
thrown out with the trash. He takes her home and turns her on (the on-button seems
to be in a quite unusual place), only to find out that she doesn't seem that intelligent,
and she only seems to be able to utter "chii". But she's oh so cute,
so Hideki decides to keep her and names her Chii. But keeping her isn't as easy
as it seems. Another anime adaptation from a CLAMP manga, this time it's of the
ecchi shounen type. |
 | Love
Hina Again Love Hina continues with a 3-episode
OVA series following the events of the TV series. This time Keitaro's sister Kanako
visits Hinata Inn, turning everything upside down. Her idea of sisterly love goes
beyond what Keitaro finds comfortable, and turns Naru into a raging tornado of
jealousy. It doesn't help that Kanako is a master of disguise and impersonates
other people for deception. Will Keitaro survive? |
